Wall in the Barn

Unique gallery space upstairs in The Craft Barn in Hadfield

Daniel Riley

Daniel's exhibition was absolutely extraordinary! Everyone who came along spent so long looking at and discussing the work and several were lucky enough to make a purchase of their own original piece of art. Thanks to everyone who visited; it was a tremendous success. Looking forward to our next show which looks like being our biggest and most exciting yet - the Autumn Open Art Challenge 2019, which will be taking place from 26th October to 2nd November. Can't wait! Julia x

Open to the public on Sat 24th, Sun 25th & Mon 26th August 2019 11am-4pm

We are delighted to present a solo exhibition of the work of Daniel Riley. Daniel’s work has been influenced by his early years living in the city where a love of architecture informed his early paintings, capturing the mood and atmosphere of the urban landscape through textures, layers and increasing abstraction. A relocation to the High Peak saw a movement in his work towards natural landscapes. Inspired by the ever changeable light and weather conditions synonymous with the British countryside and the atmospheric conditions found in the moorlands of the Peak District and Pennine Lancashire, Daniel uses texture, tone and increasingly ambiguous, abstract forms to communicate how a location felt emotionally rather than aiming to produce a literal representation of the scene. instagram.com/danielrileyartphotography facebook.com/danielrileyartandphotography
