Wall in the Barn

Unique gallery space upstairs in The Craft Barn in Hadfield

After being postponed twice last year, Wall in the Barn hosted The Goddesses and Nymphs exhibition by local designer, Alice Pike.

.A re-imagining of Greek Mythology from the female perspective, exploring several often demonised characters and creatures in a new light. The exhibition was due to be on display at The Craft Barn during the weekend of 5-7 February 2021 but because of the lockdown, you can instead delve into this fabled world through the online galleries, interviews and behind the scenes images by following this link.

Quote from guestbook: "What a beautiful exhibition! The layout of the pages had the feel of a “real life” exhibition, and was reminiscent of wandering around a carefully laid out room - exploring all the little corners and reading all the details. I loved the inclusion of the interviews from all the creators, it’s always nice to get a glimpse at the team and the story behind projects like these, instead of just seeing the finished result. Beautiful work Alice on your stunning costumes (I’ll never get over the details and texture you manage to create in every piece), and beautiful work by everyone else involved in the photo shoots and the exhibition. Of course I wish it could have been in person, but what an incredible alternative." -Lina Piprek
